GLR-OH-131 Staff Commander: Capt Edward Hollo, CAP (cc@ohio131.org) Deputy Commander: Capt Thomas Rehman, CAP (cd@ohio131.org) The Unit and the Civil Air Patrol Our squadron is rich with history! The Cuyahoga County Cadet Squadron - originally known as the Blacksheep, a nickname that persists today - was founded circa 1945, shortly after the Civil Air Patrol itself was founded on 01 December 1941. If you would like to be a part of building this unit's future and that of the United States Air Force Auxiliary - the Civil Air Patrol - please contact the Squadron Commander at the address above. As a cadet squadron, we are fulfilling the Civil Air Patrol's mission of training tomorrow's leaders through our Cadet Program. The Cadet Program is a structured leadership and character development program aimed at developing young men and women into leaders and advocates for aerospace power. Our members include anyone who is looking to do their part as a civilian volunteer, serving both the U.S. Air Force and our nation. We welcome both current and retired military personnel; your prior service and experience will help with teaching our cadets the military way of life. We currently meet every Thursday evening in Brecksville, Ohio. Our meetings start at 1900 (7:00PM) and end at 2100 (9:00PM).
